Harvest

  • broad, french and runner beans
  • second early potatoes
  • lettuce, beetroot, turnips.
  • onions, leeks.
  • marrows, courgettes, squashes
  • tomatoes, peppers, chillies, aubergines

Water every day particulary courgettes and french/runner beans. They grow very quicky in August and remember to feed pumpkins if you want to win Halloween prizes.

Stop tomatoes (if you haven’t alrerady) and Pick plums, greengages, and blackberries.

Sow last crops of lettuce, carrots, turnips and spring cabbage

Dry out garlic, onions, and shallots ready for the winter
