A reminder – as grass cutting continues, please keep the paths clear. We can’t cut the grass if there are stones or debris in the way. We want to thank Ron, plot 5, who has kindly done the maintenance on the equipment in the shed. Also, thank you for all the allotmenteers who have given up their time to mow the common area. This is a necessary task which often goes without any recognition.
Last night the farmer lost control of the slurry container and it went sliding down the hill. Our new fence posts stopped the container from ruining a few allotments! The perimeter fencing to the allotment, that was looking a bit tired and unstable, has been fortified with the addition of 100 new posts inserted in between each of the original posts. These posts have a 15yr guarantee which is pretty good considering they are literally out in all weathers, so they should be good… Read More »
